I purchased an application called BreezeBrowser, which is much more powerful
than the one provided by Canon (although using the same libraries).
It allow you to convert the Canon RAW format into TIFF or JPG, while keeping
the EXIF information (which tells you what focal length, what aperture, etc.
you used).
I also use it to create my galleries with the nice HTML generator.
I just added some pictures taken in the cemetery of Aoyama, a famous place in Tokyo. It was also the first day out with Fred to test his new digital camera which happens to be the same as mine ... :-)
Also, I added some pictures taken in Harajuku at the Meiji Jingu but they could have been taken anywhere else ! That's why I put them in the "Just anything" section ... They were actually taken with my new toy: a wonderful Canon 50mm f1.4 that Santa Claus brought with him :)
I went to Tokyo station on Christmas' eve to admire the lights of arches along the street ...
I just got my ADSL connection installed yesterday and it's really fantastic. Not only it's amazingly faster than my ISDN connection but I also don't have to worry about the time I have to stay connected since I'm not paying for it !
So what about the changes here ? Well, actually not much, I was just cleaning my website a little, organizing folders, etc ... A transparent change for you then ...
Disappointed ? Ok, here's some pictures of Pitou I took recently!
It's the third time I'm going to Kyoto this year but this time was definitely the most beautiful of all because of the wonderful colors of Kyoto at Fall. The red leaves of the trees surrounding the temples were just wonderful and make you forget about the crowd gatehering in Kyoto in this season ...
I shot those pictures with my new digital camera, a Canon EOS D30 equiped
with a Sigma 20mm f1.8 and a Canon 28-135mm f3.5/f5.6. I must admit I shot
most of them with the Sigma lens because I needed a wide angle lens and I
really wanted to play with it :)
One mistake I made is that I didn't properly use the white balance of my
camera so some of the colors might look a little weird ... I'm definitely
going work on that for next time !
I also added a picture of the Rainbow Bridge taken from Odaiba ... with my old camera, the Canon Powershot G1, which is really not bad and incredibly lighter than my D30 !!
