My first digital camera !

Here I am again ! Well ... Do I really have to say it again ? Yes, it happened again, I was lazy ! Even though I have my own computer now, it's still pretty difficult to be motivated when you come back from the office late at night or when the weather is nice outside on weekends :)

Anyway, I'm back with some more pictures, easily transferred to my homepage thanks to a digital camera that I got recently. It's really something that I wanted to have for years, but I wasn't really satisfied with the quality so far, but they're really getting better these days ! The one I got is a 2.3M pixels camera and above all, the colors are great. It was really something that I was really concerned about, even more than the resolution, but they finally convinced me :P ... Anyway, now it's getting really easy to take pictures :

• no need to buy films (much cheaper this way !)
• no need to wait for the film to be over to see the result
• if the picture is not perfect, it's still possible to modify it with PhotoShop, for example
• easy to put on a web page (no need to scan the picture, which always takes hours, and you don't get the finger prints or the dust spots on the picture !)
• you can see the picture and decide to delete or keep it right after checking
• it's now possible to have the pictures printed with a very good quality

Of course, there are some drawbacks, which should be fixed in the coming generations of digital cameras, I hope :

• the flash and the zoom are not as powerful
• the quality cannot compete with a good analog camera, but the difference is hardly noticeable when printed
• it's still quite expensive !

However, I really don't regret it since I love to work with digital pictures. The thing is that now, I'm also interested in photography and I know I can take as many pictures as I want without being afraid of wasting some film :)
