It’s not easy to find a good spot for a sunrise or a sunset in Hong Kong, unless you actually go to the coast. However, with the beautiful weather we had on the first day of the lunar calendar, I decided to go and shoot in Wanchai and enjoy a stroll in unusually quiet streets filled with a warm winter light anyway.
With the help of the SunSeeker application, I was able to determine under what angle the light would hit the city and walked to the location I knew would get the sunset right in the axis. Even though I couldn’t get the last rays of light because of the buildings in the distance, I’m still happy with that sunburst I was able to capture.
