Ouais, que des emmerdes... Je dégustais ma glace matinale, tranquille, quand y'a un salaud qui m'a foutu mon serveur en l'air.

Les DNS ont été updatés en moins d'une heure, ça a été super rapide, j'en suis resté baba.

Wish I'd read this earlier. Seriously - I'd previously read good things about Zighost and signed up about a year ago. I had exactly the same emails you mention above (but then I did have a lot of cgi running and thought maybe they had a point). But the wording was identical to the emails you received.

Then a couple of weekends ago I noticed the whole Zighost site was suffering from 'too many connections' SQL errors - in hind-sight obviously being attacked. This week the whole of zighost went down and I figured I'd backup everything and get the hell out once it came back up ... but it never did. Instead I got this email ...

"Hi,
Our server was under attack.Server mainboard, cpu, hdd and backup hdd is lost.All data was lost also.This is not our fault.Also, you agreed of our terms and usage about this damages and lost.Sorry for this inconvenience.
Here is below your new hosting account details.Please re-upload your content;"

Everything gone. Absolutely devastated. Having read your experience and reflecting on my own I wish I'd never heard of Zighost. I can only recommend that everyone currently hosting with them get's out of there ASAP because it's only a matter of time before the same thing happens to you.

Hi Andy,

I sympathize with you and I regret the problems you had. I was lucky enough to get out of there before things started to really get screwed up. At least, I hope your testimony will help others to avoid Zighost by all means.
