The Duomo is still covered in scaffolding, and uomo vecchio at La Brushectta is still rude to tourists. He asked me the same question, if I had a reservation. He almost turned me away, but the place was almost empty (I was early, around 7 PM on a Sunday). He then asked me if I could be finished eating in less than an hour. I had pizza and a beer and was out of there in 20 minutes. By the time I left the place was crowded. La Bruschetta must do a good business with the locals, as you said.
